Why people go
Cairo is the shortest flight from Nairobi to a genuinely ancient civilisation, which makes it the most affordable "wonders of the world" trip we offer. The Giza plateau is inside the city limits — you can see the pyramids from a hotel window.
We usually pair two or three nights in Cairo with a Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan. It is a strong fit for school groups and for families with teenagers, and the logistics are well understood.
What you will actually do
- Giza plateau and the Grand Egyptian Museum
- Old Cairo, Coptic Cairo and Khan el-Khalili
- Nile cruise between Luxor and Aswan
- Karnak, the Valley of the Kings and Abu Simbel
